Near finding Light as a terrible liar at the end of the chapter is hilarious.

I love this scene because it’s truly I think when a lot of the readers start to root for Near to stop Kira. He’s become the lowest of the low and that’s great for a villain protagonist.

Fantastic twist here. Honestly I’m one of the people that think that L not being the detective to beat Light was a great choice. Now all that’s left is the detective with morals to appear.

I love the idea that it’s because the fact that Light got the death note that he became this monster. Because once he lost all his memories, he’s actually a good person.

I love this sequence to much because it’s not only very smart but also a excellent showcase that Light is not only cheating, but that L would already have won if he knew the rules of the Death Note.

L’s suspicion of Light likely exploded here, there’s no way that he wouldn’t know the situation of Misa’s parents.
