Another thing, this is the kind of story that is best read in big chunks imo. I can see how it becomes boring if some arcs are drip feed to you, causing them to appear longer than they are

I don't know how, but this story charmed me. I just like the good feeling of most chapters. The Mc is likeable, has agency to move the plot forward (with the business and growing his skill set) as opposed to just reacting to the environment. No harem and the support characters are all likeable...

Coming back to read this, you can definitely see how hypersanitized the characters become. They feel more real here, but less endearing. I'm not sure how long the manga would have gone with these version. It's interesting to see prototypes like these or Komi's oneshot.

They should have gone with real scars or burns. Full Isekai Ojii-san for the Mc design. Not this symmetrical face with a chip in it. I get what type of character it tries to portray, but it just doesn't work like this. I'm trying to figure out if this was the author's idee or the editor made...
