This last chapter felt like some kind of summary of an ending rather than a real one, like something I'd read on Wikipedia—a synopsis of a book or movie. Maybe that's why it felt horrible to read.

I don't really see how that'd be interesting unless it's either really short or the author gives them exclusive scenes of their time abroad, but I can only really imagine constant main story detours like that being really annoying, and if they do eventually come back, it would just feel forced...
