I think you could've wrapped this in like 4-5 chapters pretty easily, and instead we're just...still going

Agreed on this, but it seems more like she may be a bit of an S than an outright toxic person. I definitely thought this would go in a darker direction based on how the one shot ended, but I'm not opposed to this route instead.
