I vaguely remember the volume 1 cover art, probably read a synopsis ages ago and added to my watch list, but why is the translation starting with ch6? I have no idea who the characters are and what's happening. Also, is this a genderbend, or are the pronouns a translation error?

Since the manga and novel haven't given a solid complete map of the continent and countries in one place yet, I photoshopped together a complete map myself. Not perfect, and I fudged some details since the sources weren't consistent or had parts covered by text bubbles, so take it with a grain...

It'd be weird if it ended after this arc. Chapter 29 just came out recently in JP, volume 7 of the LN came out last month, the LN and Manga were both recently licensed in English, and judging by the chapter titles of the completed WN there's way more story to go. Can't say it's impossible if...
