I wasnt too convinced by the first chapter 'cause there's a lot of authors that try to make a cheap imitation of depth by just killing off characters but this chapter is a lot better. Hopefully it goes for the long run.

Different publishers which means different standards and requirements for continuing. Usually the more popular the magazine the more strict it gets... for these jump magazines it gets rough as hell, live or die by weekly polling. I think everyone by now has multiple series that have gotten axed...

This seems like an allusion to how people tend to be more content if there's someone on a lower social rung or in a worse state than them. A common strategy amongst governments to keep the majority screwed but content cause there's a smaller group thats even more screwed.

You can very much permanently break a person and prevent them from ever developing what they'd need to survive or grow by systematically abusing them as a child. It's not simply a matter of enough time passing.

Well its more that if you're drunk you cant consent. No consent = rape and extrapolates from there. Similar thing happens with two minors.
