i think this cult is a parody of Ho no Hana, a Japanese cult lead by a guy whose name is Hogen Fukunaga, and it dealt primarily with fortune telling, and Togen sounds similar to Hogen.

this is the origin of stinger and cohen's merged form from the ending of armageddon, we saw it before in the beginning of this manga though.
