The problem is the "discussion" is usually just punching down on minorities for whatever reason someone decides to pull out of their hat that day. There are plenty of places you can indulge in discrimination and bullying. It certainly is not and will not be here.

This is not correct. When a user is banned on the site, follows, lists, etc., etc., are not removed. You can log into your account and read like normal, you just basically won't be able to upload content to the site.
