Bollocks, the idea that your personality is entirely your mind is straight up nonsense. Hormones and brain chemistry are the dominant elements of what shapes emotion and response and they are wildly different between an adult and a child.

The MC is pretty unlikeable which is fine in itself. But he's also pretty boring. This story does not do a good job of helping the reader maintain their suspension of disbelief.

This is tonally all over the place. The world setup makes it hard to take seriously but then theres rape and murder everywhere. It just feels pretty off in general.
