So she pretty much a skilled craftmen/inventor (in that new time) from a really really poor family. Still selfish but at least now she is selfish to improve her family life a little bit, but still selfish.
Rude... Some part of the animal/meat does smell really bad, even more so depending on their diet. With improper preparation of the meat/fat they can smell and taste really bad. But of course us modern folks are spoiled for choice thanks to modern procedure and technologies.
Reminder guys, she socially awkward and addicted to books. A really bad combination. Hopefully she get better as she interact with the new world and have her common sense challenged. But addiction will always take forever to be cured.
Well, she definitely not calm in certain situation. Judging from her past and how her mom tried to get her to live life outside of book, she might be socially awkward as well. Awkward and addicted is such a bad combination.
