The tonal shift is interesting, though initially a little jarring because of the expectation of some other shoe to drop. Which, still might, but this chapter... at least as far as the growth of one of the leads goes, seemed almost hopeful in some odd way? Looking forward to seeing how it plays...

After reading the most recent chapter I just want to acknowledge that you're right. My initial pessimistic read waiting for the other shoe to drop did obscure that there's been a slow tonal shift taking place that reads a little clearer now. Nice analysis!
