@jawsh Man, I wish this author could make more wild stuff like this. It's just a very common sense take on things, but in a context so wild it can make you question the base premise of "being real about it". I'm a bit into philosophy myself, at least the Socratic bit of questioning...

That's quite interesting, I've never thought about Baki that way. In fact, I always thought that the romantic plots from The Grappler were mudding the "purity" of the martial arts stuff. I guess Itagaki must be into romance in his own way, apparently the word "romance" in Japanese is understood...

Understandable, but I think it's nice to hace something like this from time to time: the whole thing is beautiful on spite of not having most romance elements. Sometimes it feels more like a slice of life from the art déco era, for example.
