I'm mixed myself. On one hand it was kinda messy a lot of the time. So this new style is more clean.
But on the other hand this is more generic and the previous artstyle was more distinctive. Which helped a ton in remembering this story among the hundreds I actively read.

This could be a fun premise for a new series. Take one of those slow romances with misunderstandings and dense characters who like each other and have the third wheel tormented by their inner thoughts, scheming to hook them up/play cupid to preserve sanity.

Do something embarassing->drink to forget your shame->become drunk-> do embarrassing things while drunk->sober up when out of booze-> realize how embarrassing you acted while drunk-> drink to forget your shame-> ad infinitum
