This manga started out really well, but it's slowly devolving into the very thing it seemed to subvert at first: a bog-standard harem. The tiny chapters and monthly release schedule only worsen the problem, unfortunately.
Unreasonable customers are never fun. That being said, a well-done steak can also be done well (pun intended). It doesn't have to be burnt to crisp. It requires a proper type of cut, like ribeye, of course.

Open kitchens are overrated. Sure, you can, uh, talk to people while they're cooking. It also makes cooking part of family life whether you want it to or not, with the smells permeating the entire apartment. With the kitchen as a separate room it's easier to install proper ventilation.
My bet is on the latter. It feels similar to the setting of Assassin's Pride, where civilization is the sole patch of light in the middle of a much greater darkness. Not exactly a relaxing thought, I admit.
Nanao continues to be really suspicious to me. She's like the engine of this manga, moving not just the plot of the MC along (with her rather bold flirting) but now also the arcs of her rivals. Sure, she can come up with valid reasons for doing so, but I can't help but think that such a central...
I think Asahi had that main heroine energy since chapter 1, regardless of whether I want her to win or not.
Anyway, cute chapter but a bit of a filler. It'd be fine in most series of its kind, but this manga set a pretty high bar for itself which is why it's more noticeable.
