I KNEW IT LOL. I commented in the last chapter that she wasn't possessed at all and was just doing it because she wanted to. It's not a big prediction or anything but I'm happy I was right.

The abrupt change in tone really caught me off-guard. I did see the warning but even so...going from Chi Tang singing and everything being all happy to her father having MURDERED his wife (I'm assuming) was jarring.

For me it's not that she thinks that way in general, but the impetus behind it. Literally a few pages before this, she's saying she can't wait to see Youyan, and then her sister talks some shit and she does a complete 180.

Well that's a good way to make a character instantly unlikable as soon as they appear. I really don't like how easily Xiu waffled on her own thoughts. She went from "I can't wait to see her" to "Let's ghost her like she ghosted me" just because her sister slandered Youyan in what appears to be a...

I still don't see why this guy needs to exist but at least he's getting rightfully clowned on. I thought there was going to be pointless drama but the girls are too mature to fall for his bullshit.

I just have to be patient....it will pay off in the end. This guy is a test of my willpower to not strangle the author for adding such an unnecessary character.
