Seems interesting enough, but I don't see a lot of directions where the story can be elevated to something above the generic romance slop. That is, unless they go for a more dramatic angle, which isn't that popular these days but were all the rage a few years ago.

This isn't the kind of manga where you overthink stuff, at least not yet. Park your brains and try to enjoy for now.

I have to agree. It's been 40 chapters, but anyone who wants to catch up can start from any of the previous chapters, even ch39, because neither characters have to yet develop nor change in any meaningful way.

For better or for worse, there are still so many possible events and directions that haven't been explored yet in this story that we might be looking at 100 or so more chapters ahead.

In retrospect, I'm not sure I'm okay with a girl rejecting a guy's confession and saying she's chasing some other guy, and then telling him that he might still have a chance with her. Backup guy, huh.

I read the spoiler summary from ch1 comments because I had a feeling this series wasn't worth waiting for week after week. And boy I'm glad I did. This doesn't even qualify as dumpster fire. More like dogcrap in a paper bag lit in front of someone's door.
