What I would give to remove all “action” and just get some simple angel x demon romance. Somehow all of these start as romance comedies with action as a sub plot and flip it, and the action is the main focus and romance is pushed to the sidelines. Imagine if twilight suddenly became avengers...

There is something akin to "British Humor" about it. 'Politeness superseding Common Sense' is something I grew up on watching British Comedy, and something both cultures seem to find humor in. But it definitely can go too far, it's an acquired taste.
