Monin is a good flavouring syrup brand, a little expensive tho. High end coffee shops will often use their syrups. I've used their Irish creme and vanilla syrups.
My knifemaking instructor quenched his knives in used vegetable oil and one day he found racoons had knocked two 10lb lead weights off the bucket and drank all of the oil. Not sure about how many there were but they got about 5 gallons of it.
