This series has the least 'plot of any series I've ever read. Seriously, it's literally just random enemies and competitions for the MC to shit on w/ countless powerups. There are no notable supporting characters and the MC has no personality besides a drive to get as strong as possible.

The stakes have been escalated too far. I was hoping for a quiet, school-life arc after the competition but it seems that promise has been completely forgotten.

The problem with this series is that it continually puts the MC into situations where's he's hopelessly outmatched, and often the members of his own crew/party are significantly stronger than him. It detracts from his presence on-screen. He's also an idiot that keeps approaching problems head-on...
