LOL I get that a lot of people think "Ugh Power of Friendship", but quite literally...he's a tamer, and they're a monster ("Demon Lord" species). Hell, in the past they were a tamer too. Killing them is one thing, but isn't an Ultimate Victory "I tamed the strongest tamer and being in the world?"

I actually think that it was light passing through everyone that created a shadow for each creature. The illusions aren't solid, so light just passed through them, revealing the real one which had a shadow.

Too many "machinations" being set up, here. Even if the purpose is to cause chaos and disruptions, for as relatable as that may be for IRL situations...It makes for poor reading material.
