In short it was a bad experiment as it didn’t actually replicate what mice actually need but rather what we think they need.

It could be the series ending but I expect it will be the former or perhaps a little of both. As the previous plot lines have all be teased pretty far in advance but what comes next will be different from what came before. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next chapter time skips us a way forward...
