Fujita does seem to have a habit of over-explaining things. I think that's part of his philosophy of always wanting to make the story "interesting to read and easy to understand." It doesn't particularly bother me but I understand it can be jarring. The anime is kind of similar here though. It...

That was nice! This story reminded me a lot of the song 機械 by kinniku shoujo tai, I wonder if Fujita was inspired by it. Also the girl's name is the same name for the Zonapha Syndrome in Karakuri Circus.
