Apart from the blackmail schemes that his literary counterpart practiced, I find it interesting that the manga's version of Milverton is acting a lot more like the traditional interpretation of Moriarty than William.
William's reaction at the end when said "Moran is fully devoted to me" has a sinister vibe that makes me think his motives aren't as altruistic as it seems.
