Overall, Adachi and Akiba are both complete assholes. They have a power complex and love exploiting, dominating, and humiliating, people who are beneath them.
I’m pretty sure Adachi never really mellowed out, Akiba just traumatized her.
The story paints Shibuya as person who wants to be good. We have loads of chapters supporting this fact. Right now she's broken, and I'm sure she can be brought back before she evolves into a complete monster.

I’m probably the only one who doesn’t like the fact that Shibuya is literally broken right now. Yeah, Akiba will get what’s coming to him, but it sucks that Shibuya has fallen into despair and now she’s going to manipulate Adachi.
