Why do translators use honorifics in English translations? It doesn’t make any sense to me. Of course not everyone does it, but whenever I see it it’s weird since we don’t use those honorifics. I wonder if English to Japanese translators add an English “mister” and “mrs” to their translations. In manga, some of them add Japanese honorifics to English translations, so adding English “honorifics” to Japanese translations would be the same thing, right? Just curious. Otherwise I don’t get...
