I like that Amazaki makes a point of carefully situating each scene—at lunch time, at a coffee break, bathroom break, or just before/after work. I think the only scene that happens at a time when they should be working is when they’re laughing at Mizono’s school picture, so it kind of reinforces...

Oh, I meant to write a note about that. It's a confusing name. It actually means that comics submitted to the contest at COMITIA are judged, and winners chosen in the span of 4 hours--not that they were written in 4 hours.

Totally fair question! Her given name is Ito (糸、いと), while the super common surname you're thinking of is Itou (伊藤、いとう). Japanese is pretty rigid with syllable length (i.e. the "o" sound in Itou is held exactly twice as long as in Ito), so Itou sounds audibly different from Ito, and the two...

I don’t know what’s more cliche, but the series is pretty clearly setting the stage for a redemption/growth love story for Tsubaki and Ayano, so it would be a fun subversion of expectations if that’s not how things play out.

There are 3 chapters out so far, and as far as I know there should be another one in a week or so with the new Yuri Hime. Hoping to get caught up before chapter 5 comes out, and then it’ll be monthly.

I'm both excited and afraid to watch the anime finally and see if anything got localized differently.
