No WN spoilers but his actions are more described in why he acts the way he does and as more of his background comes to play you really do get to see why he acts this way towards the start of the story, same for the dragon wife

Well idk about it for this manga but I figure is like in the family the male is prolly the next in line but cus the parents split the brother took the family name that wasn't the successful family so to keep the sister as next in line they just don't tell anyone
