I didn't expect to see a longer arc take place, but I'm pleasantly surprised that the MLM rabbit hole gets deeper. One of my biggest issues with Kurosagi (a previous Takeshi Natsuhara series, also about taking down fraudsters) was that the arcs rarely built off eachother or led to bigger things...

interesting how his first gf looks similar to fukiishi from chi no wadachi and his wife is supposedly a mix of nakamura and tokiwa from aku no hana. i love how his manga are always so personal.
ty for chapter!
The relatable job interview moment where you get caught without experience in a key area so you just have to awkwardly talk about how eager you are to learn it LOL
Now that we know how old Emi is, it feels like the conversations at the start of the chapter take on a slightly different meaning. For example:
At first I thought it was because Yoshie might not know the cultural differences, but now that we know Emi's 40, it feels like it's being said more out...
New arc! I feel like there's a lot of potential here, and cult stuff seems like a pretty natural topic to explore for this manga. I'm interested in how this story develops
(also hopefully we get to see runa again)
Even though Kokoro doesn't directly impact Hayato and Runa, I personally liked her addition to the story. She did a lot to humanize Bashi's fans and give context to how they view him. I'm pretty sure the intent was to further flesh out the main theme of brainwashing.
I also just found her funny LOL
So that's the end of the brainwashing arc. Hayato in particular was a very relatable character for me, and I really enjoyed Runa and Kokoro as well. Hopefully we get to see more of Runa in the future because her story feels kinda unfinished, like she's still focusing on being self-reliant but...
Apologies for the delays. Fae has been sick for the past week and I've been spending the time that we would've used for scanlating playing League of Legends solo queue.
I'm really curious how Kokoro's arc will conclude. She's going to meet Bashi irl at the event, but I feel like there's been little too much setup for this to end peacefully...
