Some people can do that (I've seen lots of people take pills), but those were seriously huge pills. Some small pills like nitroglycerin for chest pain also dissolve right under your tongue so you don't even have to swallow them.

This whole dragon fight arc was epic. The one thing that bugs me, is after living through that rebirth hell in the dragon's blood, Will wakes up and is like, "Huh? Guys? Oh I'm fine." I would have a reactionary mental breakdown, like at least a panic attack afterwards, and never be able to sleep...
