My boy Lucas beat the allegations 😭😭😭Unfortunately the district attorney is now filing a case against Zoe ❌️

Death flags abound, but the guy without a nose escaped the author's knife, as did Oscar and Zahid so... she's still got a chance

If she kicks the bucket I fear for Lucas' mental health. I do like that he was willing to not make her fight though

Amazing as always. Does this mean the series will be seasonal, or continue to be monthly?

There's something really romantic about how she choose to live out her simulated lives with Lucas over and over again even though she had accepted that they would all end the same way.

One way to interpret it is the way most people see it, that she's grown up and if forced to face the reality of her situation; her age, her mother's death and the cruelty of the world she lives in.

I'd like to think that she already knew that by the point she spoke with Lucas in her visions. But living all those lives together gave her a reason to fight for a different future.

She's doing it for him. Perhaps out of hope for a different future together but I think that last line is really telling about what she's predicted. She's the adult now and she can accept her death now. To give Lucas a chance at life, even if it's without her.

You know, I had my questions about Akira's character but everything finally clicked in this chapter: he's living on bullshit logic.

He's so dead set on his nihilism and defeatist way of seeing life that he actively refuses to believe there's another way. He'd rather live in a world where violence and murder is law than accept that he could've taken a different choice but decided not to.

Which is why he killed blood Ramus: not just because he wanted to help Kayano escape, but also because he's angry that someone who was the same as him, an Emperor's direct subordinate brainwashed to follow orders without questioning them, had enough decency to realize that forcing a child to fight in a war they don't want to is wrong.

Yeah, it was always Lucas and her, in every life! Love it. He was the one who gave her the push to help her move forward too, in one of the visions.

Kinda worried about the glock pope
He's always been kind of worrisome.

Like despite being from the future he's kind of been marching to the beat of his own drum with his own goal for a couple centuries now. He's not going to get swept up in druid worship, and he's got more sticktoitiveness than pretty much any of his contemporaries, but at the same time he's quite amoral. He's totally willing to use people for his own ends in ways that are not good for them, like Zoe, and has no qualms about executing allies if it gives him an edge or eliminates a liability. On the other hand he seems kind at times, like when he let Oscar and Zahid leave. I never know exactly what to expect from him. He never shows all his cards and what he's really after is a bit of a mystery still.

Yeah, really good writing when even the reader gets baited by the carrot when the stick is present at all times.
