The world-building is fantastic. I never felt like I got dumped with too much unnecessary info. Lots of manga should learn from this style. Maybe it was because the lore was intertwined with the story and motivation of the characters. Or maybe because of how interesting the different monsters...

There really shouldn't be any romance here. It feels like it was meant to be platonic but the author changed his mind. He's apparently 14 and she's physically 27 or so and mentally 9. Just keep it platonic.

Zahid's powers are hilarious. It's like having canon plot armor. Arrows missing, check. Saved by enemy's sword getting disabled, check. Assassin tripping and impaled by his sword, check! Can't wait to see more.

Ryuka using his powers on the kid just fits so well. I didn't know how he would use his powers in that situation but now, it feels like the only thing he could've done. Great writing.

Nice catch! Either powers can manifest in other ways or she aged younger. But I mean we did see Ryuka still use his trumpet and see sounds before he manifested.

Seems like both the empire and papal state are using rami. Maybe they are both lying and taking advantage of them?
