I'm glad that the translator didn't burden us with localization to a American southern accent nor with faux-Scots. I do suggest that prefacing the scanlation with a note about dialect is better than putting such a note at the end, so that the reader is processing ab initio with the right region in mind, rather than rethinking ex post.
