this manga was straight booty cheeks. not even a funny kind of bad, just bad. genuinely recommend not reading it.

Author is just shit at writing. The true tragedy is that this got an adaptation while decent novels didn't.
No he didn't lmao, he chose the whore over the loyal virgin. The author just threw that in as a cop-out to go "see guys she's the real whore" acting like they didn't write ayane as the town bike, but no guys shes "loyal" now.
Author tried to do a "you can turn a hoe into a housewife", by writing PURE fiction, in reality, it'd be ayane getting paid for D behind MC's back, while Konomi wouldn't have given him her first time and found a man worth having. Cause MC is a bitch, slave to trash women.

The story details? this manga.
The hoe into a housewife? (warning, uncomfortable truths ahead, don't shoot the messenger if it angers or offends you).
1. Common knowledge. (Deep down, everyone knows it to be true, it's semi-coded into our DNA, the "gut feeling" or "intuition" if you will.)
2. Honestly, basic psychology. Like, it isn't really specified in such ways, but enough is there to go "OOOooooooo shit".
3. Skyrocketing divorce rates after the free sex movement and still rising btw. (80% of which are initiated by women, so before the "dudes abusive" excuse, from memory no more than like 5% are that).
4. Not so much linked to wives/partners with promiscuous pasts, but inferring off statistics mentioned in 5. about likelihood of divorce and cheating, it's pretty self evident (cause it's a result of the cheating). % of men who are not the father of their child, now these aren't the best population samples, however the fact a lot of the data game from blood donations, or a father trying to be the donor for what should be his own damn child, it's as good as we'll get, 2-15% on the lower end, and as high as 30% on the higher end. (anything over 0 imo is too fucking high, no man shouldn't be lied to about the fact it's not his kid, no matter how certain you are gentlemen, get a DNA test)
Now for the answer your probably looking for:
5. If talking about the proof of that, divorce and cheating statistics (easy to look up). Likelihood of both increases with body count, to my knowledge limit is around 3, then it grows exponentially.
This is due in part, to the fact women shape their fetishes based on their partner, however the problem is, they're not wired to have been with more than one person, so it compounds for each partner, and they get more and more fucked up.
This knowledge is a bit older, seen in an anonymous survey from like the 60s or 80s, , but I'll save you the details, since it's truly fucked up what the experience women wrote, but think hardcore rape, but somehow they made it worse.
While the men on average was "rape" I use "" because they also wrote the woman was secretly into it.
Another factor is pair bonding, women release pair bonding hormones during sexual intimacy, whether they like it or not. (hence "no strings attached" is kinda bullshit) the issue here tho, is that for every sexual partner they have, they release less and less.
This has two consequences, the obvious one, they bond less to their partner, and the less obvious, but more drastic one... they have less released when they birth children. (there's a reason that more experienced women are more likely to be pro-abortion, it's literally easier for them).
And yes, that does also mean, the run the risk, of having no connection to their child, and not caring for them.
Yes, it's basically self-induced permanent psychological and physiological damage... yay unrestrained sex from the 80s-90s!
And that's just a few problems.
Bonus: I will add, that a hoe can be a "housewife" i.e. they're smart enough to know that the dude they settled for, is as good as it's probably going to get, so they don't go ahead an sabotage it, thus fake it. But it's rare for things to stay like that.
p.s. all information is easily found with a quick google. (Since these are basic 1+1=2 level claims, I didn't see the need in going and getting them, like, I ain't saying anything ground breaking here).
p.s.s. The stats mentioned here, are mostly western stats btw. besides that not being their father one, I think there was some European data mixed in with that one.

Jeez, this story was too engaging. Heck, I thought he was going with his childhood friend... but to think she die to cancer of all things. And her whole past... Why does that poor girl have to die?

truly a waste of storyline, what the author is thinking not including the childhood friend who made mc's life a mess into the roster, at least 5-toubun did it better by inserting the childhood friend in his wife candidates, but this? his childhood friend is a random girl with cancer without story behind her illness inserted in the last 5 chapter, moreover they have secks within 1 chapter and she's dead after that?

Can you spoil me or atleast tell me if this is true? I put this on hold for a long time and recently visited it just now but reading the comments about how it becomes a shitshow, I am quite curious. Not a fan of tragedy happening to the end girl.

I came into this manga with low expectations from the comments and reviews I saw. Some terms popped up that made me consider not reading it at all: NTR, whore, and betrayal, to name a few. I am SO glad that I looked past that to read this.
The story is idealistic and simple, but the characters are not. Some characters are predictable and obvious, while others are surprisingly wonderful or terrible. I went in not having a particular favorite, but Reika was my personal favorite by the end. I think I would have been happy with a few girls winning, to be honest. I just wish they eased up on the sex some..
The plot twists are pretty solid too and they keep things fresh, but they almost happened too often. There was a particular one that made me have summertime sadness, but I think it was the right move.
8/10 I recommend giving it a read, as it is entertaining... just don't get overly attached to one girl or expect them to be pure. Rereading this can be interesting, especially after experiencing who wants what and seeing what foreshadowing there was. Also chapters 17 and 20 are notable as well after the final chapter, for those curious on why it ends a certain way.

Ayane messed around when she rebelled against her family, but she is not a prostitute. I believe they are referring to Konomi, as she is a prostitute. This detail is only revealed at the very end of the series, which is divisive with readers. Many people think it was to villainize her, but there are signs that she's fishy throughout the story. Winner and MC have a very happy life, and those that deserve to be happy get to be IMHO.
