That's the father? How would getting married stop people from being attracted to her? So he literally just forced herself on her, impregnated her, and died. Wow, Serves him right, I guess.
The thing is, that once the whole "people can't be in homosexual relationships because they can't naturally reproduce" argument is thrown out the window, they's no good argument against incest (where you could just have the couple use birth control), much less homosexual incest (where incest babies are inherently impossible anyways).
It wouldn't stop them from being attracted, but it would at least stop most from hitting on her. And yeah, he was a little aggressive in his approach, but she easily could have refused if she wanted to...
@encrypted12345 Aside from the "mutant babies", the big problem with incest is the power dynamic. It's part of why a boss dating an employee is viewed as bad, a teacher dating a student, so on. There's a certain dynamic of power where the mom dating the daughter is screwed up. Especially when you factor in elements like grooming. I rather not get into the topic further than this, but there's a lot of reasonable arguments against incest.
I'm notably not taking issue with this fictional manga, but in the real world there are many reasons why the incest dynamic is bad.
Are we sure this is about her being an attraction-magnet? The way she says she doesn't understand that sort of feelings and so on feels more like it's going for some sort of autism thing.
Well, her friend's right you know. There's no law against mothers and daughters having carnal relationships in Japan provided they're both old enough, so, good to go?...
@Chizan I'd say Akira, as her sister-in-law and in practice something of second mother to Asuka (much to the latter's chagrin), counts as tad more than "a friend"...
@WhimsiCat I am not getting involved with this conversation further. People have so many "counter points" on this site, and spend 5 hours dying on their hill. I'm good, go talk to the police on why you think incest is okay.
