If you think about it logically, there's no way he'd make the connection at this point without some great revelation. Any potential association he might have made between past and present Miya has been erased by the simple fact that she's continuing to act like they only met recently. From his perspective, why would someone who knew him that well act like a stranger? It literally makes no sense even to the people who know what Miya's up to, let alone Yuu himself. And the longer she pushes it, the more that point is reinforced. She really is just shooting herself in the foot at this point, the time to bail on this silly plan came and went a while back.

Just jumped in. 16 chapters is WAAAAAY too long for this game of chicken to have gone on. Miya herself should've said something like at maximum chapter 9. If the manga's whole entire thing until the end was going to be him not realizing the girl he keeps mentioning and the girl right in front of him are the same people then I'd have gone insane. No I wouldn't have, I'd have done what I did already and gotten bored and stopped reading. Luckily I came back on a chapter with a promising cliffhanger. For God's sake there's still the whole actual romance angle and age gap stuff. I mean if this is just going to be a gag Manga about this bit of not knowing XYZ is ABC then okay. I guess. That could be funny. But judging by the breasts size just "funny" isn't what the author is going for.

My friend contacted me after 4-5 years and wanted to catch up the next day, anyways the meetup didn't happen but I saw him the same night at a futsal ground, he could not figure out who I was even after I told him we just talked yesterday.

If I remember right their parents are friends. They were close enough for them to bring Miya over shortly after she was born, which is when he first met her. They were always going in and out of wach others houses.

He's getting both further and closer... and Miya (and by proxy the author) is getting ridiculous. The situation should have been solved after one or two chapters. The manga title isn't about a "mysterious girl whose name you have to guess" so dragging this for 15 chapters (although they're pretty short) is stupid, especially since the hints she's giving are way too vague.
