Love interest's family is cookie-cutter evil rich with zero empathy or nuance whatsoever, made to give MC an unbelievably low bar to be the nicest person in his love interest's life. They consider her birth a scandal and try to keep it quiet, but will never just put her in an institution despite nobody being aware of her by all appearances, so this decision can only be made so they can keep being dicks to her for drama.

It's the plots of several other series stapled loosely together, and doesn't add sufficient context to just about anything presented.
