First, you assume it was a stalker. Then, supernatural stuff happened so ghost stalkers came to mind. Then, you start to suspect the lady being the stalker with the name slip-up. Then the twist at the end. Turns out, his master plan worked flawlessly.

^100% right. This chapter is easily one of the best stories in the manga. IMO the author is at their best with this type of story, where there aren't even any ghosts involved, just sick in the head people.

The last few pages where his mother was in the room and got stabbed with a exacto knife after the blackout is a ghost story, but the main story he said wasn't a ghost story. It was a stalker getting closer to his victim by playing a proxy victim.
