“Elle” is absolutely not a valid interpretation. “Elle” is just “エル”. “エルエル” is “Elel” or “Ellelle” or whatever. I also support “Elel” because “elf” only has 1 ‘l’. It's also a real Hebrew name, tho that shouldn't necessarily be instructive for an elf name.
