Unfortunately due to getting all his powers back and the increase of his skills due to all the studying and whatnot in the spirit world his simple fire bolt spell not only destroyed the trolls, but the forest, a neighboring kingdom and a star light years away in space as well. Should've tried a non-destructive spell first to gauge his current power level. Oh well, nobody liked that kingdom of supremacists anyway and the star had already destroyed all life in the system it was in anyway so nobody will miss either.
