I feel like the ending cheapened the whole story. It just took all the stakes away and was an awful solution to still get a happy ending.

Honestly never felt like rooting for the "good guys" since they are way too overpowered and really boring. "Just stopping time indefinitely" and other powers that are too strong basically made it almost impossible for the villains to get a single win.

Author knows how to do forshadowing into payoff pretty well but I just can't stand the characters.
