What the hell is this book who have so many informations who wasn't uses in the story, that just bad writing ! (the original story I mean)

About the powers :

The shield / wood : The MC have it in the original story but use it only twice and could survive without it
healing : A power who keep he's owner in good health and heal faster. A guy who was paralysed take it to heal himself but the power cannot heal old wound so this power was useless for him. Oh and he died two week after too, you know the sickness of the rich, assassinate.
Fire : A power who gain a massive power up if you sacrifice money, he's owner was a simple man who didn't like luxury so he's power never grow up
wind : A power to move frealy, he's owner actually use it well in battle but he is a minor character who will died later in war so...
earth and water : he didn't read enough the original story to know
