Uh oh, looks like the Yandere has joined the group. I'd say he applied his skill lightly enough to take effect but not be noticeable rather than just blindly trusting her. Just did it that way so she'd think he didn't use his skill and to look cool to the others. After all, getting bullied, nobody protesting or defending him, and the castle people going along by not even trying to give him any support despite kidnapping him there is no way he'd feel trusting enough or his emotional wounds healing over within just a couple weeks. Especially since he can't even wander around the castle without a disguise just because of his skill.
