I like the fact that Hobin is more "real" as a character.
For example, the glasses guy( I forgot his name) seems like the usual shoujo male protagonist. Smart, handsome, good with the ladies, and on top of that, a good fighter. While on the other end, Hobin is more like a real person, he makes mistakes, listens to bad and good advice, and grows as a person.
