We should really stop asking Fujimoto for characters to come back, they'll either just hurt or betray both Denji & the readers.

Actually, it's a very in-character move for Power - she has always been shown as a prideful and arrogant person, but even more - as a coward. When opponent is clearly stronger than her, she'll throw a white flag to save her ass. But it's seems unlikely that she "betrayed" Denji and turned to Makima's side - it's seems more like "Please forgive me! I'm on your side!.. Just to stab you in the back when you're weakened! Gahaha! Denji is mine, I'm a president, all hail me!", which would be perfectly in-character for her.

There's something about Power (and very few others) that I don't get yet, is why Makima didn't use her powers on her, the first time she overused her powers (and grew an extra pairs of horns) she went to Makima for rehab and came back traumatized, so Makima used fear or torture instead of her powers, and now this time, Makima was going to kill her but Power did a Power move that came as a surprise to Makima, is like, she's willingly serving her out of fear and then the next day Power thinks she's the strongest again.

Wouldn't be easier to just use her Control ability ?

That was hilarious. Makima is a dog person and Power is a cat person and think that might have some meaning soon. My theory is that shes way more powerful than we all know. Remember Makima examines Power and makes sure her blood must be drained to keep her in check. It makes you think why would Makima keep her at low power at all times? I can only guess since she’s the Blood Devil she could probably be the strongest. Hence her name. and remember she isn’t under makima’s control. She’s just in fear of makima and does whatever she says. Now, I think Power may have something up her sleeve this time.I really can’t wait till next chapter to find out.

Her power isn’t just drinking blood, she can manipulate her own blood, and to a limited extent (due to her being in a weakened state) other people’s blood, she’s being kept weak probably due to the fact that if she got strong enough to, let’s say stop blood flow to the brain, or even just cause a small blood shard to pierce the brain or sumn, she’d be damn near unstoppable, think Magneto vs Wolverine but instead of metal skeleton it’s metal blood and it’s everyone ever not just wolverine

@Serenata Makima cannot control Power since she is the blood devil & when she gets strong like that time she has to go to Makima to have her blood drained and keep her at low power at all times. It makes you wonder tbh (also she is definitely obeying Makima out of fear, read my last comment I explained things a bit more though it’s just a theory heheh)

Makima also explained her power as controlling people she deemed below her.
But she need to proof it by making them submit, or defeating them.
So, there seems to be a rule where she can't just subjectively brand someone as inferior to her.
That and Power had shown she can survive even against Makima using her followers.

Seeing Makima's surprised (and perhaps uneasy) reaction to Power just giving up Denji like that...
it probably doesn't count as actually having Power under her control. Power is still doing it under her free will, not total submission.

BTW, is it just me or parts of Blood Devil's design looks kind of like the Darkness Devil ? Especially how she's pointing and using the swords.

It's also associated with life (and death when losing it).
Especially if it's your own blood, there's that "I'm gonna die" fear going.

Last scene's Pochita is just like... "Bruh, seriously?"
