@Dailan Could you please spoil me how it was the revenge against her? I want to know to see if it's going to be worth to keep reading this... If all the crap Chrome had to endure ends up with the cunt getting away with it all or some unsatisfactory punishment or the forgive and mercy bullshit, I rather not read not even one more panel of this. Irene is trying to rise up the ranks in this religion of theirs and she needed someone who could exterminate the competition for her, she met a paladin that could be capable of her needs and after they met, those two start breeding like rabbits. After convinving him that she needs to be the holy saint, she tasks the paladin in killing the competition, which the idiot did without question. She was summoned by Yuno to discuss the happenings to Riotte. They watched a video (magical recording) on how Riotte was murdered and the hero party mourns their loss.
When she was travelling back to the church, she starts fucking some fat bishop who promised her the holy saint promotion (highest status). While screwing the bishop, She acknowledges that she could make men do whatever she want with her pretty face and cunt, but when she was getting clothes on after fucking the fat bishop, the paladin walks in on them and accuses her of cheating. She plays the innocent card and said the paladin was delusional and that she rejected him multiple times. The bishop starts mocking the paladin. The paladin leaves after some magical persuasion and the pov switches back to chrome. Chrome, cloaked and well hidden, arrives in the town Irene resides in with Shea and witnessed her carriage in the town square passing by with crowds cheering for her. She was to be promoted that day. The parade came suddenly to a halt because the paladin was threatening to kill Irene. Being a broken hearted fool he is, the paladin then abruptly accuses her of, basically being a total bitch. Irene casts some mind manipulation magic which convinces the paladin to kill himself.
Chrome walked up to her through the crowd and warned Irene's escort not to get close to him. He proceeds to task Shea to steal their weapons and throw them at Chrome for a quick demonstration of fixed damage. He then reveals himself and Irene didn't recognize him at first immidiatly casts a silent spell. Fixed damage destroys the magic and irene was shocked and couldn't do anything.
Chrome and Shea kidnapped Irene and brought her to an abandoned church the location was a little vague but somewhere abandoned. He then reveals himself and she starts to comprehend her situation.
Fear started to kick in now and chrome allows her to use her sensing ability to check Chromes power, which nearly made her piss herself as fear started to take over her.
Chrome asked what happened to him and she started explaining that the speel cast on them was to create light magic. The yang to this ying is that dark magic was created in the process, which is magic that consumes it's users energy and they needed a host for dark magic so that they could harness magic. Chrome was decided to be Abraham's lamb and his party betrayed him with this "sacrifice" convinced that dark magic would weaken Chrome until immobile. In order to make the effect stronger, the feeling of despair needed to be at its peak, so Irene started to court Chrome (more so than before) and you know the rest.
Chrome asked why they chose him to be the sacrifice and she answers that only the mage and Yuno know of the reason. She just went along with it.
He then proceeds to ask her if she planned on betraying him from the get-go, but she frantically denies this and states that she truly loved him, but her ambitions got the better of her and convinced herself that chances to succes were higher joining the hero than it would be with chrome. Fucking him in the process.
Chrome wasnt having any of this shit but plays the fool a little longer. She proceeds to tell him that the only person she ever loved was him and that she regrets it deeply and says she still has feelings for him.
Chrome is getting pretty tired of these lies and took a few steps closer to close the gap. Irene, who was held down by Shea, suddenly screamed in agony as her feet came within the 10m range of fixed damage.
She begs for him to stop as he threatened her arms next. She tries to convince him that she was played and violated and chrome proceeds to ask if this was also true for the paladin, which she nods to. Chrome was now certain, this bitch is a manipulative slut.
He stepped closer and her arms were gone as Shea held them in front of her body. She's desperately trying to convince him not to kill her, offering her "genuine" love and loyalty in return for sparing her.
He smiles and makes her his slave. Which he proceeds to empower with metamorphosis which turns Irene, who priced her beauty as her most valued asset, into a horrendous demon monster with, out the chart, self healing and low fighting capabilities. She can't talk anymore yet still conscious and was ordered to kill the remaining demon army. She could do nothing but obbey his command as the enslavement pact by darkmagic was obsolete. I get it that the information is for us readers, BUT still pretty risky to tell that when the enemy is capable of running away.
It would be pretty harmful for the mc if his enemies knew that beforehand, and were prepared (e.g. by having bow/crossbow troops attacking him out of his range of attack..)
