No, we don't have any idea how this works. (How would it transfer into the other timeline…??) There wasn't any other explanation, and we had all of our TL look it over and… yeah, no dice. Just take the author's word for it, I guess ;-; If any big-brained people have an idea how this works, let us know.
@calvitre If they take cash they will duplicate it... For example u have a cash which number is 12345 and when they go to the past they would have 2 papers with number 12345 which is duplicating, but if they use credit card, they just add a number, in present they have 5$ on credit card, but in past aftehr they transfer it they will have 10$ on one credit card... Which is doubling.It isn't duplicating bc money on credit card aren’t printed and they don't have their personal number, they literally are only numbers on ecran which can become printed money (money that is already printed).
Ps. They can bring objects with them and credit card can be in pocket, the pin is same in the past, present and future.

@Axolki i’m pretty sure they haven’t caught up to the chapter 0 preview (that the 11me title is named after) and it’ll come up later, like maybe 11 selves is the ideal for their system? idk at the beginning of this chapter and at the end there are only 5 selves active. probably they work up to 11 as they perfect the system. which makes sense cause they don’t have the apartment/cats yet either (maybe they have 12 and then they wrap-around? somehow??)

You’re right! With the way they have been operating, it’s weird that there is an odd number of Kibums. Perhaps something bad will happen in the future to one of the Kibums? OR, one of the Kibums is not doing his part (thinking back to the preview) so functionally they have 11 optimal Kibums and one is a freeloader?
To answer your second question, only 3 are considered missing because they only travelled back 3 times. When Kibum_1 traveled back to the past, he created a branch off in the timeline. Thus, Kibum_1 is considered missing in his original timeline. Now, Kibum_1 and Kibum_2 waits until the time in their present has passed a little bit. Then, both of them go back to after Kibum 1 and 2 have met to meet Kibum 3 + 4. Once again, this time travel caused another Kibum (Kibum_2 in this case) to be considered missing in his timeline. Now, there are 4 Kibums. They wait for some time then travel again. This third time back caused another branch off in timeline and caused another Kibum to be considered missing in the timeline they left. But, in the past where they travelled to, there are 8 Kibums. Does that make sense? I think the graphic he drew in the story helps! And you’re not stupid, took me a minute to understand too.
