I mean ... from a story perspective it's acceptable, I guess, but that part with child Narayuki and young sensei still weirds me out a little bit. It's a good thing the author portrayed sensei as someone very unaccepting of teacher x student realtionships during the rest of the story, because otherwise all of this would have felt extremely weird instead of just a little weird.

Gonna be real this ending really does not need the younger Nariyuki promise bit? like this flashback adds essentially nothing, makes Nariyuki's honest attempts to make sensei happy feel a bit less earned like we're giving fate some unearned credit in this and also just make the whole thing feel weird because theyre adults now which was far more acceptable and cool to begin with.

Like we didnt need this you can cut out these flashbacks and lose nothing and could have used the spare pages to flesh this out more. But i guess harem gotta pull out the childhood promise trope that everyone was already bored of by 2008..

Not only did his father managed to be a wing man for his son after being buried, but also healed Kirisu´s heart , what a damn Alpha that man was.
