There's a WN I read a while back where a "princess" (IDK what the proper title for daughter of Duke or Baron or whatever is) was sent to another world as a baby boy, raised there for 18ish years, then sent back to her original world and sex. This story gives me strong vibes of that, especially with the line that she was "raised somewhere in safety...we knew you were alive but we were uncertain of your location". So my guess is that this is similar, during the attack, Azumi was Isekai'd to Japan, raised as a boy, then during an accident, Isekai'd back home with her/his friend with her as a guard (because cheats I suppose).
