I’d say Shinjiro is fine, if we’re being pedantic he technically would prefer not to die if not for his dire future, but still I’d entertain his investigation.
Honestly this chapter just makes it clear that Anri is the one to look out for. Her initial “reason” was already very stupid and not an actual reason. But wanting to be a paragon of democracy seems especially strange considering there’s a man clearly not there willingly (that might be alive). If she has no involvement with the guy, she should’ve probably have defended the idea of removing him from the room.
Then again, she wants to be a neutral ally to everyone even if that’s not possible so her logic might be “I want these kids to make their choices”.
