I was originally pleasantly surprised by the honest conversations about homosexuality in some of the earlier chapters, but sadly it had to end like this

Much like with my scanlation of A Showa Era Woman, I'd be lying if I said this kind of stuff wasn't a bummer for me to translate at times as a queer woman. But then again, I think it's important to preserve bigoted or problematic art, what is art if not a product and a reminder of its time? Hence why I have a strong policy of not changing any of the objectionable content

On a brighter note, we start getting much shorter stories onwards, can't wait to start working on those <3

So the first Katshuhika Ooi was a ghost or something, huh. I suppose the last sex scene was also 'imaginary' and she did it by herself. I wonder if Kamimura intended some juxtaposition between erotic images and snakes here.

The shift from interpersonal jealousy, murder, and ghosts to “nothing’s grosser than a CROSSDRESSER!!” is so fucking jarring, especially after how gayness was portrayed sympathetically earlier.
